Because UNM Los Alamos is test-optional, use this timeline only if you plan to submit SAT or ACT scores: take your first test by spring of junior year, then save summer and fall for retakes. With no Early Decision or Early Action deadline, choose the latest fall retake whose scores will arrive before the regular admission deadline, and do not use the March 1 financial aid priority date as your testing target unless a specific scholarship asks for scores.
