Because NEO A&M is test-optional, use this timeline only if you choose to submit SAT or ACT scores. Take your first test by the spring of junior year, then reserve the summer before senior year and fall of senior year for retakes that may improve a superscore. Since NEO A&M does not offer Early Action or Early Decision, the last useful fall retake is the one whose scores will arrive by the regular application deadline you plan to use.
