Because American National is test-optional, build this timeline only if you choose to submit scores: take your first SAT or ACT by the spring of junior year, then use the summer before senior year and fall of senior year for retakes if superscoring could improve your result. Since American National does not offer Early Decision or Early Action, use the Regular Decision deadline in the Key Dates section to choose the last fall retake that will still arrive on time.
